One morning, last week.

One morning, a bowl of super delicious strawberry mousse, three glittery top hats, three good friends, and one hell of a surprise, Modern Family style. Happy Birthday, Syarinta! Friends knows best, literally. x)

Wit & Wisdom of Sir Terry Pratchett : pt. 3

"No! Please! I'll tell you whatever you want to know!" the man yelled.

"Really?" said Vimes. "What's the orbital velocity of the moon?"

"What?"

"Oh, you'd like something simpler?"

My 311 Day

This post had been in my draft for months, I don't even remember why I haven't post it yet. So here goes, my tweets on the day 311 played in Jakarta. One of the highlight of 2010, at least for me. Call me silly, call me over-reacted, I don't care. I was just too damn happy. :)

Happy happy 311 day! Lalalalala x) RT @syarinta: happy 311 daaaay! :D *lompat2 nari2*

Komodo, and Proud.

This started as an internal joke. We, that's me & my friend Syarin, always said that when hubby got upset his face would go all komodo-like. And hubby, and I love him for this, is the kind of guy who had no problem in laughing at himself and this 'komodo sensation' was no secret to him. We even called his previous car Kondra, short for Komodo Dragon. He once bought shoes from a store called Komodo and so proud of them (just because the brand was Komodo). So when we visited Bali Safari & Marine Park they got this komodo exhibit, he proudly took many pictures with his ancestors, the mighty Komodo Dragon. Maybe we'll visit the Komodo Island someday. :D

Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis) is the biggest lizard on earth and exists only on Komodo Island National Park, Nusa Tenggara Timur (East Nusa Tenggara). This animal is Indonesian Endemic animal and also the icon of the country. The Komodo's saliva has ten kinds of deadly bacteria used to kill its preys. Komodo can detect the smell of dead animal up to 9 km away.

Aira's Art pt. 2

Enjoy.

At the Shoe Shop

One hot boring day, Aidan made a shoe shop. FYI, shoes are Aidan's favorite things after food and cars. When other kids got hysteric when they entered a toy store, Aidan got hysteric when he entered a shoe shop. Don't even think about taking Aidan to a shoe shop when you're not ready to buy him at least a pair.

Back to that hot boring day. Aidan (with my help) was collecting some pairs of shoes and putting them in rows in the middle of our house. Oh yeah, of course he had to try them all first, bunda's shoes, kakak's shoes, ayah's shoes.

Welcome to Mister Aidan's Shoe Shop! :D

these are the shoes
this one is mine, ayah had to bought it for me since it stuck on my feet while I tried it on ;D

I think I'll try bunda's now...

these are kakak's...

now ayah's...

wooops! x)

back on my feet now!

these are kakak's too!

they looks good on me! I think I'll take them... ;p

but ayah's shoes are the best. they fit me perfectly!

this is the place for ayah's shoes...

the other one need to be turned around...

I'll put kakak's shoes here...

and put mine besides kakak's...

and the other one goes here...

between ayah's! x)

Mister Aidan's Shoe Shop open for business! :D

Tapi Lana galak, jadi Aidan jiper duluan. Huehehehe... Jadilah Gloria alias Gowi yang jadi sasaran Aidan xD
Pertama cuma panggil-panggil, terus elus pipi & rambut, lama2 dicolek, akhirnya gemes & didorong (maaf yaaa Gowiii!!)

malu aaah...

hai Gowiiiii!!!

ini temanku, namanya Gowii

colek dikit aaaah...

Concerts of 2009

I didn't went to concerts very often. It's not that I don't enjoyed them, I love concert very much. The thing is, since Aira was born and now followed by Aidan, I often felt guilty to leave them back home while I sing aloud & jumping around in a concert. One of the concert that I kinda regretted that I passed was Muse, but what can I say, I was 8 months pregnant with Aidan when they came to Jakarta.

2009 was a pretty concert-friendly year for me. Well, I still have to passed some of them, especially the one that needed a 2 ways tickets to Singapore & lodging, but I went to some great ones in Jakarta.

I went to see Bjork. It was my first concert after I don't know how many years. I went with Syarin since hubby doesn't even know what the hell is this Bjork. It was great, SHE was great! I guess Bjork is the only person in the whole world that can pull out a metallic puffy dress amazingly. The sounds was great & she sang almost every songs that was on my wish list. The only 2 songs that I didn't get to hear was It's Oh So Quiet and Human Behaviour.

It was like a dream when I heard that Incubus was coming to Jakarta. I mean Brandon Boyd is practically a God! Yes, I believed that he is half-god, so this is one of the moment I just can't missed. Hubby agreed to go with me, and so did Syarin. We were planning to scream as loud as we possibly can to encouraged Mr. Boyd to open his shirt and show off his god-like abs (in 'we' I refered to myself and Syarin, of course, not hubby). So we did exactly that, we were shameless, I know. But he did. He opened his shirt, one button at a time, on shirt at a time. Oh how women loves to be teased. Nuff said about the abs, it was a pretty great show, I only thought it was lacked of communication in their part. But still, I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Then I went to the Java Jazz Festival with hubby to see Jason Mraz. Due to my hubby kindness (he offered to take care everybody's ticket) I ended up watching the show with his friend Firzee instead, since he had to went out to delivered a friend's ticket & couldn't get back through the crowd to my spot. The show was good, but I couldn't said that it was amazing. First, it was way too crowded to my liking. Yes I know a concert is supposed to be crowded, but this one was filled with too many screaming teenager. The show was part of the festival so the duration was pretty short. The other thing was I didn't get to watched it with hubby like we planned to, so it wasn't much fun in my part. After the show, we couldn't even get to many other one, since the festival was way too packed that it took many time to get from one stage to another.

By the end of this year there was this Soul Nation Festival that somehow brought The Ting-Tings in town. I went them with many friends, Syarin & Arian, Ocha, Malva, Putri & Ivan. We met at the venue and got a nice spot by the sound mixer. It was really fun. The Ting-Tings songs are the kind of song that you can just move your body to even though you didn't know the song. They were so easy to enjoy, and since I know more than half the album, I enjoyed it very very much. Katie White was so cute & De Martino was great too (specially his triple zippers shirt that attracted me & Syarin, I don't even know why). We originally planned to watch Arrested Development too, but it happened to be that they were playing at the same time as The Ting-Tings, so I didn't get to sing Mr. Wendall and Tennessee. Oh well.

when you try to speak their language

(originally posted on facebook August 21, 2009)

~from Adam Levine's twitter, posted Aug 19th between 8.14 to 8.58

newsflash: the french HATE when we try & speak french. i just speak plain english. they may not understand me. but damn it they respect me.

spanish is entirely different. they LOVE that s**t. if you try and speak they will help you along enthusiastically

but the italians win. they LOVE when you try. they will bring out a friggin text book and school your a**!

dont misunderstand me i do love the french. its just not their thing. i get it. they are busy...being french. totally understandable.

if you really wanna see a french person cringe, dont say thank you. say, "mercy bucket". i love doing that. they go nuts.

germans will help you if you're trying to speak german. but they have the tendency to smile and/or laugh at you while youre doing it.

insult to injury...when you try and speak french, they interrupt you in english! that s**t BURNS!

and americans? how do we react to people trying to speak english? we just stand there stunned and ask if we can see their spaceship.

and let me close tonights rant by saying that all culture is amazing! and these differences are what makes the world FUN and interesting.

The Mighty Aslan

(originally posted on facebook July 19, 2009)

Kalau ditanya siapa yang paling ganteng sejagad Narnia, saya akan menjawab Aslan. Kemudian diikuti Edmund, Prince Caspian, Mr. Tumnus, lalu Peter. Bener deh, menurut saya mas Aslan emang paling ganteng. Kalau untuk ukuran singa, Simba aja kalah ganteng, apalagi singa-singa kurus di taman safari.

Suatu hari, tepatnya kemarin, saya lagi cetak-cetek remote indovision, kebingungan dengan posisi channel yang baru sambil menikmati channel-channel yang sedang dibuka semua. Gratis.
Kemudian saya sampai ke channel 14, Star Movies. The Chronicles of Narnia : Prince Caspian.

Singa besar paling ganteng. Kalau yang itu memang pantes disebut raja hutan, pikir saya mengagumi wujud Mas Aslan.

Kemudian Aidan duduk di sebelah saya. Dia menunjuk Aslan di layar tv. Katanya, "Meong".

True, it's a meong. A BIG one.
