We love having popsicle on hot sunny day. We usually made our own popsicle, it was more fun & healthier than having the store bought one. Jakarta was super hot, so I went looking for a new popsicle recipe from the internet. Then I found this chocolate fudge popsicle from Smitten Kitchen. I didn't change any ingredients, I just doubled the measurement.
The popsicles turned out great. All chocolaty, gooey, and of course, fudgy. Aira & Aidan loved it. I love it. This is the original source of fudge popsicles recipe, & these are other popsicles that we had made at home, strawberry yogurt popsicle and mango orange popsicle. :)
Ingredients:
4 tbs (45 gr) semisweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
140 gr sugar
2 tbs cornstarch
3 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
600 ml whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbs unsalted butter
How to:
Medium saucepan over very low heat, gently melt the chocolate chips, stirring constantly until smooth.
Stir in sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, milk & salt & raise heat to medium.
Cook mixture, stirring frequently until it thickens, between 5 and 10 minutes.
Remove from heat, add vanilla & butter & stir until combined
Set aside to cool slightly then pour into popsicle molds.
Freeze before serving.
